A Unique Celebration: In Aid of the PRS for Music Members Benevolent Fund
To celebrate its 75th Anniversary and its unique history, the PRS for Music Members Benevolent Fund is proud to present a very special fund-raising concert. On October 25th at 7.30pm a whole host of stars will perform for the Fund at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The show is sponsored by PRS for Music and Gibson Guitars. Backed by Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings throughout the show, artistes will include Mick Hucknall Simply Red, Melanie C, Paul Carrack, Lee Mead, Mark King and Mike Lindup (Level 42), Andy Fairweather Low, Kiki Dee, Chris Difford, Georgie Fame, Jan Akkerman, Albert Lee, Martin Taylor, Bill Wyman and some Very Special Guests.
It is their way of giving something back to fellow musicians, songwriters and composers in need, maybe those nearing retirement with limited pensions, those suffering hardship because of illness and families of those experiencing particular difficult times.
PRS for Music today has over 60,000 songwriter, composer and music publisher members, collecting and paying royalties to them whenever their music is played, performed or reproduced.
Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall are priced from £39.50 and available from the Royal Albert Hall Box office on 020 7589 8212 or the Credit Card hotline: 0844 888 9991, www.ticketline.co.uk or www.royalalberthall.com.
